Used Clark Counterbalance Forklifts Phoenix

The forklift is a material handling machine utilized to raise and transport loads from one place to another. Every forklift part has a particular function. Various components can be utilized to transport the load either vertically or horizontally.

Mast
The components used to lift and lower the load is referred to as the forklift mast. There are different kinds of masts for lifting loads to various heights: triplex, quad, simplex and duplex.

Power Supply
There are four different ways you could power a forklift: gas, electric, propane and diesel. The battery is located in the cab beneath the seat. The propane tank is located on the back of the truck. The fuel tank on diesel and gas forklifts is under the rear of the truck.

Cab
Positioned in the middle of the truck is the forklift cab. This is where the operator sits and accesses all the controls and informational gauges. The steering wheel, gas pedal, tilting controls, brake and lifting controls are all located in the cab.

Frame
Carrying all the largest forklift parts is the frame of the truck. This consists of the counterweights situated at the back that prevents the truck from tipping over when loaded. The frame includes the overhead guard that protects the operator. The undercarriage holds the axles, wheels and driveshaft.
