The Combilift company was founded by two great engineers, Martin McVicar and Robert Moffett. Between them, they had more than 40 years of engineering experience when they founded the business during 1998 in Monaghan, Ireland. In just over a decade, Combilift became a leader within the worldwide long-load handling market, providing machinery to over 50 markets all over the globe. Supported by a trusted global network of distributors that have helped expand distribution into numerous markets all over the world and using their extensive knowledge and experience, McVicar and Moffett have built machines which are in high demand and had sold 10,000 models by mid 2009.
Below is a summary of a few of the Combilift models.
There are a variety of mast options for the C-Series Combilifts, while these equipment provide up to nine meters and lift capacities that top out at 25,000 kilograms. Engines are available in LPG or gas, diesel, and electric or battery and the C-Series Combilifts can work in 210 centimetres wide guided aisles.
The Combilift Straddle Carriers can transport fully loaded containers which can weigh up to 35 tons. These loads could be transported all around a facility or work site and the Combilift Straddle Carrier can carry fully loaded containers where needed, whether it be from trailer to trailer, from the trailer to the ground or from the ground to the trailer. These machines are an effective, cost effective solution for many shipping, haulage, and distribution businesses, even those kinds with low throughput levels.
The SL-Series is a lot different compared to other side-loaders due to its ability to drive in four directions. This multi-directional steering is available with the cab on the left or on the right. This all-wheel drive, hydrostatic lift truck can benefit businesses in numerous ways, one of which is to enable facilities to have narrower aisles. It also enables the capability to block or bilk stack by driving forward. This extremely manoeuvrable type of truck is often considered to be a superior alternative compared to numerous standard sit-down sideloaders because of the various extra features and capabilities.
