Use a Pneumatic Forklift
You could usually find pneumatic forklifts in shipping and warehouse operations. Also referred to as pallet trucks or pump trucks, they are used in order to move products and supplies around on wooden pallets using metal forks mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight has a pump which lifts the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is designed to be operated by a single individual.
Pallet trucks must be operated carefully to avoid loss of control while lifting heavy loads. Equipment should be checked before operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstacle. Check that the handle smoothly turns. The pallet should be carefully stacked to guarantee that nothing would fall off during transportation.
On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level found on the inside of the metal loop to be able to lower the forks and release the air in the pump. The forks could then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks should be in the middle in order to ensure equal distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the pneumatic lift's handle until the pallet has completely cleared the ground. Do not raise the pallet very high or the forklift can unbalance.
Move the pallet by pulling on the handle and then dragging it behind you. It is truly not safe to push the pallet in front of you because the momentum can cause it to lose control. Take turns slowly and don't try to stop suddenly. Stop gradually, squeeze the lever, and the forks would lower to the ground. Lastly, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent place.
