Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklift units are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck offering great height and versatility. The crane, or arm, is referred to as a telescopic boom. The boom enables the individual utilizing it to maintain a high degree of control while raising the cargo to great heights. Standard forklifts aren't able to move the cargo towards and away from the cab of the forklift, whereas a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually utilized in agriculture and construction. It is better for applications where greater lift and control is needed.
In situations requiring high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments called forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which enable the operator to use uniform clamping force when picking up a load. It is available with a backrest that protects the loads from damage.
A sleep sheet lift truck would often use a slip sheet attachment for storing systems which don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This type of system is useful for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A man basket is a lift platform designed particularly to hoist employees. The basket attaches to the forklift forks, held in with a strap or chain that is to be secured directly to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the workers from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the worker's safety harness.
