Motorized Pallet Truck
The Walkie-Rider, Rider or Walkie is a Motorized Pallet Truck which is essentially a motorized version of a pallet jack. They come in both "Rider" versions and "Walkie" models.
The walkie type as the name implies, is made to enable the operator to walk along the machine as they lift and transport cargo. The operator stands on a small platform on the Rider model. The rider models are ideal for frequent transporting of cargo over extended distances within warehouses and manufacturing applications. They are highly maneuverable and fast.
It is essential to remember that there is no safety cage on this model and hence, it is not recommended to transport tall or unstable loads with these machines. A rider could be the best answer if you are searching for an inexpensive method for moving cargo from point A to point B. If though, you must transport heavy loads short distances, and prefer to utilize a more employee-friendly unit rather than a pallet jack, the walkie model can be the right choice.
Order Selector
The order picker or order selector is a piece equipment made specifically for manual handling of less-than-pallet-load quantities in racking. There are fixed forks connected to a platform in the Man-up design. This particular platform elevates both the operator and the load in an effort to facilitate manual loading and unloading from racking areas.
Usually, the order selector is a very narrow aisle vehicle that could operate in smaller aisles. They are extremely useful pieces of machinery during physical inventories as well as during cycle counting situations. Order selectors are available in lift heights up to 40 feet high, although models which range in the 20 to 30 foot range are much more common.
